A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION VOTING ON AMTkJENTS TO THE CITY CHARTER
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 8, 1983, wherein the
electorate was asked to vote on amendments to the Charter of the City of Tamarac;
and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the
machine voting and absentee ballots and has certified such results to the Election
Board of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County_
Canvassing Board and has -presented their find#ngs to the Cif Council for a formal
Certification and Declaration of the results.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following is hereby certified and declared as
the official results of the public vote at the General Election of March 8, 1983,
for the proposed Charter Amendments:

SECTION 2: That none of the amendments having received approval of
a majority of the voters voting on these amendments, they do not become a part
of the existing City Charter of the City of Tamarac, which was adopted at the
General Election held an March 9, 1976 and subsequently amended.
