WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 8, 1983, wherein the
positions of Charter Board District 1, for a two-year term, and Charter Board
District 3, for a two-year term, and Charter Board At Large for a two-year term,
were to be filled; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the
machine voting and absentee ballots, and has certified such results to the City
Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County
Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the City Council for a formal
Certification and Declaration of the. Results.
NOW SORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of the votes
received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board, Districts 1, and 3,
and At Large, at the General Election, March 8, 1983.
DISTRICT 1; John Lachmann 2779
Alice K. Norian 6316
and Alice K. Norian, having received the highest number of votes cast in District 1,
is therefore declared to have been elected as Charter Board Representative,
District 1, for a term of two (2) years.
DISTRICT 3: Edward A. Gross 3432
Melanie K. Reynolds 5989
..and Melanie K. Reynolds, having received the highest number of votes cast in
District 3, is therefore declared to have been elected as Charter Board Representa-
tive, District 3, for a term of two (2) years.
AT LARGE: Sydney M. Stein 6689
Virginia K. Taylor 2711
and.Sydney M. Stein, having received the highest number of votes cast At Large
is therefore declard to have been elected as Charter Board Representative
At Large, for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 2: That Alice K. Norian, Melanie K. Reynolds and Sydney Stein
shall take office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-4 of the Code
of Ordinances.
