CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION [40. R-83- 40
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WAIVER TO THE SIGN
ORDINANCE REQUESTED BY KINGS POINT OF TAMARAC
PERTAINING TO NUMBER, SIZE AND LOCATION OF CERTAIN
TEMPORARY COMMUNITY DIRECTIONAL S_IGNSi AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Kings Point of Tamarac has requested a waiver from the Sign
Ordinance No. 80-34 (Code Section 21) governing number, size and location of certain
temporary community directional signs; and
WHEREAS, the Beautification Committee reviewed this request and has made
recommendation thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Building Official reviewed said waiver.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the waiver to the Sign Ordinance Requested by Kings Point
of Tamarac for temporary community directional signs at_the_.fol.lowing
locations is hereby approved:
1) South side of McNab Road - Tract M - Sign to be 4'x8', 32' overall
2) North side of Commercial Boulevard -.Sign to be 8'x4', 32' overall
3) West side of University Drive, one block north of Commercial
Boulevard - Sign to be 8'x4', 32' overall
4) North side of McNab Road (east of 8333 W. McNab Road) - Sign to be
8'x4', 32' overall
SECTION 2: Conditions of Approval: ALL SIGNS IN SECTION 1
ABOVE ARE SUBJECT TO CITY CODE SECTION 21-8, PARAGRAPH (2), WHICH
REFERS TO THE SOUTH FLORIDA BUILDING CODE REGARDING SIGNS OVER 24
SQUARE FEET.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
