RESOLUTION NO. R-83- 27
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE APPLICATION OF
THE TAMARAC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM, NINTH ANDTENTH YEARS FUNDING. FOR
PUBLIC SEWER SYSTEM CONVERSION IN TAMARAC
LAKES I;, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the local Citizens Advisory Committee has held a public
meeting on the Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the local Citizens Advisory Committee endorses and
recommends said program to the City Council for Public Sewer System
Conversion in Tamarac Lakes I; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to endorse the application for
said program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby endorses the applica-
tion of the Community Development Block Grant Program, Ninth and Tenth
Years Funding, for Public Sewer System Conversion in Tamarac Lakes I.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 31st day of January, 1983.

2. PROJECT TITLE: TAMARAC LAKES I -CONVERSION TO PUBLIC SrEWER SYSTEM
3. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: This proposal is a request for funds to convert
obsolete septic tanks serving 72 senior citizen family homes into an existing
public sewer system located next to the area. This project will complete the
public sewer system for the entire area and reverse the pollution of the ground
water aquifer.
The provision of utility infrastructure is an eligible activity under the first
level of priority for funding - "Provisions of Standard Affordable Housing"
as provided by the Sroward County Coummunity Development Block Grant program
guidelines.
The City is currently compiling the necessary informat-ion by interviewing the
residents in the subdivision and expects to submit the questionnaires to HUD
by March in order to become an eligible target area.
