RESOLUTION NO. R-83— Go_�
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A
SURPLUS COMPUTER POWER PURIFIER; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has notified the City Council
that a Power Purifier manufactured by the Computer Power Systems
Corp., Carson, California and used to protect a Microdata.8000
Computer from brownouts, voltage fluctuations and transient dis-
turbances, is not needed for use by the City, and it is recommended
this Power Purifier be declared surplus and offered for sale through
a competitive bid process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept this recommendation
and proceed to dispose of this Power Purifier in accordance with the
provisions of the City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Computer Power Purifier, described in the
Notice of Sale attached hereto, is declared to be surplus City
property and is authorized to be offered for sale through the
solicitation for sealed bids.
SECTION 2: Bid award shall be subject to review and approval
of the City Council.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.

NOTICE OF SALE OF
POWER PURIFIER
The City of Tamarac, Tamarac, Florida, wishes to offer for
sale a Power Purifier manufactured by the Computer Power Systems
Corp., Carson, California, and used to protect a Microdata 8000
Computer from brownouts, voltage fluctuations and transient dis-
turbances. The unit is 18 months old and is no longer needed due
to the purchase of a new computer system. Original cost was
$2,836.00. Minimum acceptable bid is $1,000.00.
The unit may be inspected and further information may be
obtained by contacting Craig Turok at 305/722-5900, Ext. 62.
Sealed Bids will be accepted until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday,October 18, 1983
and will be opened publicly at that time at City Hall.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
bids and waive formalities in the bidding, and to award the bid
to any vendor consistent with the policies of the City.
