CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION N0:'
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC TO WORK IN COOPERATION WITH BROWARD COUNTY
IN ACCOMPLISHING THE SIGNALIZATION AND REALIGNMENT
OF THE INTERSECTION OF NORTHWEST 61ST STREET AMID
NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE IN TAMARAC AND AUTHORIZING
THE PAYMENT OF UP TO $15,000.00 TO BROWARD COUNTY
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION
EQUIPMENT AT THAT INTERSECTION AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE. ...
WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Broward County Staff have been
cooperating in the planning stages of the realignment and signalization of
the intersection of North University Drive and Northwest 61st Street in the
City of Tamarac (hereinafter the "Intersection"), and
WHEREAS, the County Staff has indicated a willingness to
recommend that the cost of signalization of the "Intersection" be funded by
Broward County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City reaffirms its desire and intent to
cooperate in a joint effort with Broward County to accomplish the re-
alignment and signalization of the "Intersection".
SECTION 2: That the City authorizes an expenditure of up to
$15,000.00 for the design, installation and inspection of the signalization
equipment to be installed by the County or its contractors at the "Inter-
section".
SECTION 3: That this payment is authorized with the understanding
that Broward County supply the traffic signals and necessary hardware;
that Broward County and the City coordinate the installation of the signals
with the City's reconstruction of the "Intersection" and that the work be
done as expeditiously as is reasonably possible.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to
send a copy of this Resolution to the Director of the Broward County Traffic
Engineering Division (2300 West Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale,
Florida).
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
