RESOLUTION NO. R- g,3 1!7'7
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CITY REPRESENTATIVE TO HANDLE
DETAILS IN CONNECTION WITH SISTER CITY, KIRYAT TIVON:
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council anticipates having a sister city in Kiryat
Tivon, Israel; and
WHEREAS, a visitation has taken place by a resident of Tamarac and a
report was given to Council; and
WHEREAS, other residents of the city will be visiting the principal
officials of Kiryat Tivon; and
WHEREAS, the finalizing of details relating to the Sister City Relation-
ship will require some personal contact with officials of Kiryat Tivon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Robert Shurr be designated as Commissioner of Human
Relations for the purpose of making these contacts with officials in Kiryat Tivon
and provide information, interpretation of proposals, etc., and -Provide information
to the City Council.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption and
shall remain in effect until March 1, 1984 unless extended by the City Council
of Tamarac.
