A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR
EXCAVATICN AND SMIPILING OF LIME SLUTD E
BID #83-10
WHEREAS, The City Council authorized the Administration
to go to bid at its meeting on' May 25_ 196 �, and,
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Miami Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in Broward County on June 1
and
June 8
, 198 3 , and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on June 14 , 198 3 , and
WHEREAS, _Lynn _Ro, Inc. is the lowest fully
responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,:
SECTION I: That the bid of Lynn Ro. Inc. in the amount of
` $13,500.00 for the first year, $14,000.00 the second'year and $14,500
for the third year, is hereby approved.

QUANTITY DESCRIPTION , UNIT !RICE 'j EXTENDED PUCE
BUYERS ANNUAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE
AND STOCKPILING OF LIME SLUDGE.
THE WORK ENTAILED UNDER THIS CONTRACT WILL
REQUIRE THE CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE LIME SLUDGE
SETTLED IN THE WATER PLANT LAGOON AND STOCE-
PILE SAME ON CITY PROPERTY DIRECTLY EAST OF
THIS LAGOON. THE CONTRACTOR'S OPERATIONS
SHALL BE SUCH THAT A MINIMUM 6 FOOT DEPTH OF
WATER TO THE SETTLED SLUDGE SHALL BE MAIN-
TAINED AT ALL TIMES DURING THE PERIOD OF THE
CONTRACT. THE CONTRACTOR'S OPERATIONS SHALL
BE SCHEDULED AT HIS CONVENIENCE SUBJECT TO
APPROVAL OF THE CITY ENGINEER. THE PRIMARY
LIMITATION ON THE CONTRACTOR'S OPERATIONS
WILL BE THAT THE PREVIOUSLY STOCKPILED SLUDG
SHALL BE ALLOWED TO DRY AND BE HAULED AMY
PRIOR TO THE SUBSEQUENT OPERATIONS. .
THE CONTRACTOR'S BID SHALL INCLUDE INITIAL
EXCAVATIONS TO PROVIDE THE 6 FOOT DEPTH OF
WATER AS INDICATED ABOVE AND FINAL OPERATION
SO THAT A 6 FOOT DEPTH OF RATER EXISTS AT TH
END OF THE CONTRACT. BIDS SHALL BE ON AN
ANNUAL BASIS AND PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE QUAR-
TERLY IN THE AMOUNT OF 250 OF THE ANNUAL PRI
BEGINNING 90 DAYS FROM APPROVAL OF CONTRACT
BY THE CITY COUNCIL. BIDS MAY BE SUBMITTED
FOR A CONTINUING CONTRACT BEYOND THE FIRST
YEAR REQUIREMENTS. THE CONTINUATION OF THE
CONTRACT SHALL BE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF
THE CITY.
