RESOLUTION NO. Rj -/
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A FEE SCHEDULE FOR
EXCAVATIONS OR CUTS OF CURBS, STREETS OR MEDIANS
AS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE NO. 0-83-16; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 0-83-16 (Temp. Ordinance No. 1044) was
approved on second reading by City Council on May 25, 1983 and became
effective when passed; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 0-83-16, Amended Section 23-12 of the
City Code and provided for a fee schedule for excavations or cuts of curbs,
streets or medians to be established by Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That fees for permits required by Section 23-11 of
the City Code shall be paid to the City by the applicant in accordance with
the following schedule:
A) As to all streets, constructed and paved, resurfaced
or repaved, on or before May 9, 1973 and where street cuts are four (4) inches
or less in width, the fee shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per driving
lane.
B) As to all streets constructed and paved, resurfaced or
repaved, which are not included under paragraph A above, the permit fees shall
be as follows:
(1) Street cuts:
Streets paved, resurfaced or repaved within one year
prior to application: Five hundred dollars ($500.00) per driving lane.
Streets paved, resurfaced or repaved within two (2)
years prior to application: Two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per driving
lane.

years prior to application: Fifty dollars ($50.00) per driving lane.

(2) Median cuts:
Per median cut with stacking lane: Two hundred fifty
Per median cut without stacking lane and with curbing:
Two hundred dollars ($200.00).
Per median cut without stacking lane and without
curbing: Fifty dollars ($50.00).
(3) Sidewalks or thoroughfare not traffic lanes:
Each sidewalk or nontraffic lane thoroughfare: Fifty
dollars ($50.00).
C) As to boring and jacking of streets, medians and
sidewalks, the fees shall be seventy-five percent (757o) of the fees indicated
in Sub -Sections A and B above.
D) If cutting of streets, medians or sidewalks are
required or requested by the applicant after the boring and jacking process has
been initiated, then permits and fees for the cuts are required in addition to
the boring and jacking permit and fee.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
