2 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN INVESTMENT
ADVISORY ODMMITTEE FOR THE CITY OF TANARAC.

5 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish an Investment
Advisory Committee, define the scope of the Co mittee's duties, deter-
mine the number of members and terms of office, and make the init8al
8 appointment thereto.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,

FLORIDA:

12 SECTION l: There is hereby established an Investment Advisory
13 Committee for the City of Tamarac.

SECTION 2: The Committee shall hold a regular meeting once each
15
month on an agreed date and time in City Hall and Special Meetings may be
called upon request of the Mayor, or, in his -absence, his designee. All
meetings shall be open to the public.
SECTION 3: The Committee shall be responsible to keep abreast of
current investment trends, receive the input of administrative officers
20 regardinF investment concepts for the City, and make recommendations
21 thereon to the City Manager, and file such reports with the Mayor and CAy
22 Council. The Cormmfttee shall have no administrative authority, and shall
not be directly involved in the ongoing process of investment of City funds.
SECtION 4: The Committee shall be composed of five (5) members

appointed by the City Council from the general public, who shall serve
26
without compensation at the pleasure of the City Council. The Mayor or his
27
designee, and the Finance Director or his designee, shall serve as ex-officio
28
members of the Committee. No public members shall be actively engaged as an
29
employee, officer., Board Member, consultant or representative of any
financial institution or investment brokerage -firm.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this llth day of May, 1983.
