CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION VOTING ON AN1ElVDN]EM TO THE CITY CHARTER
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 9, 1982, wherein the
electorate was asked to vote on amendments to the Charter of the City of Tamarac;
and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the
machine voting and absentee ballots and has certified such results to the Election
Board of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County
Canvassing Board and has presented their findings to the City Council for a formal
Certification and Declaration of the results.
NOW, FORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following is hereby certified and declared as
the official results of the public vote at the General Election of March 9, 1982,
for the proposed Charter Amendments:
QUESTION 1: Amendment to Section 7.11 of the City Charter.
YES 3683
NO 1634
QUESTION 2: Amendment to Sections 6.02 and 8.01 of the City Charter.
YES 4288
NO 888
SECTION 2: That both amendments having received approval of a majority
of the voters voting on these amendments, they now become a part of the existing
City Charter of the City of Tamarac, which was adopted at the General Election
held on March 9, 1976 and subsequently amended.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of March, 1982.
