CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R- f'o2 - ZZ
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD POSITIONS FOR GROUP 1
AND GROUP 2.
M EREAS, the General Election was held on March 9, 1982, wherein the
positions of Charter Board Group 1, for a two-year term, and Charter Board Group 2,
for a two-year term, were to be filled; and
UNEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the
machine voting and absentee ballots, and has certified such results to the
City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the County
Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the City Council for a formal
Certification and Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of the votes
received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board, Groups 1, and 2, at the
General Election, March 9, 1982.
GROUP 1, IRVING EPSTEIN 4140
JOHN LACHMANN 1350
and Irving Epstein, having received the highest number of votes cast in Group 1,
is therefore declared to have been elected as Charter Board Representative, Group 1,
for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: That Mani Avidon being the only candidate who filed for
the office of Charter Board, Group 2, is declared to have been elected to that
seat for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: That Irving Epstein and Mani Avidon shall take office in
accordance with the provisions of Section 2-4 of the Code of Ordinances.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of March, 1982.
