CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-82-200
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO
PERMIT A FIGURE SALON, GRG FITNESS CENTERS, INC.
IN A B-2 ZONING DISTRICT - PETITION #15-Z-82;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the granting
of special exception to permit a figure salon in a B-2 Zoning District; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held and the public has been
giverr'an opportunity to express their views concerning the application for Special
Exception; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the
---petition for Special Exception would be in keeping with the public health, safety
and general welfare of the City of Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the petition for special exception to permit a
figure salon in a B-2 Zoning District for GRG Fitness Centers, Inc., Petition
#15-Z-82 at McNab Plaza North, 7160 North University Drive, is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of Approval:
1. Only women customers and under no circunstances becoming co-ed.
2. The Special Exception is not assignable or transferrable and not
movable to another location in the City.
3. Subject to all Tamarac City Code requirements.
4. Subject to a $25,0001:00 surety bond as required by Florida
Statutes Chapter 501.012(6) to be posted for 3 years and
verification is required before an Occupational License may be
obtained from the City.
5. Hours 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
6. No massage facilities
7. No food service
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of July, 1982.
