CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION N0. ,*4—��—
A RESOLUTION URGING A PLAN FOR A HOSPITAL DETENTION
FACILITY IN BROWARD COUNTY.
WHEREAS, law enforcement agencies within the County of Broward have no
detention facilities for hospitalized prisoners, and
WHEREAS, each local enforcement agency must maintain around -the -clock
guards for hospitalized prisoners at local hospitals, and
WHEREAS, each law enforcement agency does not have the manpower to
maintain such around -the -clock personnel, and
WHEREAS, Broward County needs a detention center for hospitalized
prisoners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Tamarac urges the Broward
County Commissioners to establish a detention faci l'i ty in a local hospital for
all Broward law enforcement agencies to use for the detention of prisoners.
SECTION 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to the Chairman
and all members of the Broward County Commission and to the Broward County
Chiefs of Police Association.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this day of 1982.
