CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES TO BE COMPLIED WITH BY
COMMITTEES RECEIVING AND SPFNDING MONEY AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following statements and guidelines shall be
followed by committees in the City of Tamarac receiving and spending
monies:
1. Gifts (contributions) to be accepted by Council within thirty (30)
days of receipt.
(a) Inappropriate gifts shall either be returned to the donor or
accepted by the City and disposed of in accordance with City
Ordinance for surplus property.
2. Gifts in the form of tangible personal property are to be stored
on City -owned or leased premises (within 72 hours of receipt by
representative of City) until time of disposition.
3. The City Manager shall authorize all expenditures. Whenever
reasonably possible this shall be in advance of the
expenditure.
(a) There shall be a receipt for all expenditures and a statement
of what the expenditure is for.

(b) Travel reimbursement shall be based on documented
travel.
4. No advertising copy shall be published which has not been approved
by the liaison member.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
