CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION N0. -Z-/ao
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF
PARKS COMMISSIONER SETTING FORTH POWERS AND
DUTIES: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION'l: ESTABLISHMENT OF PARKS COMMISSIONER
There is hereby created the position of Tamarac Parks
Commissioner. The appointee shall be appointed by Resolution, shall
Iserve with no compensation and shall serve at the pleasure of the City
Council.
SECTION 2: THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE PARKS COMMISSI
The powers and duties of the Parks Commissioner are to:
1. Work with the City administration to coordinate
expansion, additions, maintenance and repairs at parks owned and
operated by the City.
2. Work with the City administration to answer complaints
concerning maintenance of parks owned and operated by the City.
3. Attend and participate in meetings of the Recreation
Committee as an honorary member.
4. Make recommendations and provide input to the City
Council in his area of responsibility.
SECTION 3: APPOINTMENT
That Norman Karr is hereby appointed to the positi
of Parks Commissioner for a period to May 11 ,1983.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective upon
its final passage. '
