A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER OF PARKING FOR
BISCAYNE FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN AT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF
UNIVERSITY DRIVE AND MC NAB ROAD
WHEREAS, Chapter 18 of the Tamarac City Code provides that Council
may grant a limited waiver of the off-street parking and loading
requirements whenever a hardship would exist by adhering to strict
application thereof, and further provides that the waiver would not be
detrimental to public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the
City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at BISCAYNE FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN
ASSOCIATION, SOUTHWEST CORNER OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE AND MC NAB ROAD, because
of projected right-of-way dedications on University Drive.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon
and has made a recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the limited
waiver requested in the application of BISCAYNE FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application for limited waiver to Chapter 18
of the Tamarac City Code to allow BISCAYNE FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN
ASSOCIATION at the southwest corner of University Drive and McNab Road is
hereby approved for 90° parking, and such limited waiver would not be
detrimental to the public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the
City. Approval is conditioned upon submission and approval by Council of a
site plan for a savings & loan association of 4,852 sq. ft. maximum.

SECTION 2: This Resolution will become effective immediately upon
the dedication by BISCAYNE FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN ASSOCIATION of 47 feet of
right-of-way on University Drive and 19 feet on McNab Road for the length
of the property or approval of a plat by the City Council showing such
dedication.
