CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION LIMITING CERTAIN DISCUSSION
AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an integral portion of each City Council Meeting is
reports by Council Members, the City Manager and the City Attorney;
and
WHEREAS, there has been a tendency for these items to be
presented in inordinately long forms; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to keep meetings as brief
as possible; and
WHEREAS, a limitation on the length of reports on individual
items would facilitate and expedite Council meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: There is hereby imposed a limit of five (5)
minutes per item within a report by each individual Council Member,
the City Manager and the City Attorney. This time period may be
waived by a majority vote of the City Council.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.
