CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. —
A RESOLUTION URGING THE BROWARD COUNTY COMMISSION
TO GIVE AID AND ASSISTANCE TO MARKHAM PARK Z00
DURING THEIR TIME OF FINANCIAL NEED PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Markham Park Zoo is in -dire need -of financial
assistance in order to continue its operation, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida
supports future development and maintenance of Markham Park Zoo, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that Broward County should
be able to support said facility.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
urges the Broward County Commission to provide the needed assistance
and financial aid necessary to continue operation of the Markham
Park Zoo.
SECTION 2: That a copy of this resolution will be distri-
buted to all municipalities in Broward County and to the Broward
County Commission.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
