CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-81-70
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL
3 EXCEPTION TO PERMIT AN ATHLETIC CLUB
TO OPERATE IN A B-6 ZONING DISTRICT
4 AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF MC NAB RD.
�- AND 80th AVE.; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of the
7 City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accordance
8 with the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing
9 regarding Special Exception to permit an athletic club to operate in
10 a B-6 zoning district at the N.W. corner of McNah & Rnth AvP and +hA
11 said public hearing has been held in accordance with the notice and the
32 public has been given an op
portunity to be, and has been heard; and the
13 Council has examined and investigated the request for the Special
14 Exception herein and has received the recommendation of the Planning
15 Commission of the City of Tamarac; and
16 WHEREAS, the public hearing has been held on Petition No.
117 4-Z-81, by the City Council pursuant to the Charter;. and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the public health, safety,
morals and general welfare of the public would not be adversely affected
20 by granting such Special Exception.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
22 FLORIDA:
23 SECTION 1: That Jack LaLanne Health & Fitness Center be
24 permitted to operate in a B-6 zoning district at N.W. corner of McNab
25 Rd. & 80 Ave.
26 SECTION 2: That approval of Special Exception is granted on

1. That no food, wines, liquors, or other alcoholic
beverages will be served on the premises.
2. That the opening hour shall be no earlier than 8:00 A.M.,
nor the closing hour be any later than 9:00 P.M. on
weekdays.

3. That the opening and closing hours on weekends,
including Saturdays and Sundays, shall be no
earlier than 9:00 A.M., and no later than 6:00 P.M.
4. That the Beautification Plans shall be beyond what
is required by Ordinance, and shall be resubmitted
for Council approval.
