CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. E —817 3&
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS
PERSONAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has notified the City Council
that eight shotguns, inventoried to the Police Department, no longer
meet the criteria for use by the City's law enforcement personnel,
and has recommended these weapons be declared surplus and offered for
sale through a competitive bid process; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept this recommenda-
tion and proceed to dispose of these weapons in accordance with the
provisions of the City Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the eight shotguns described in the Notice
of Sale, attached hereto, are declared to be surplus City property
and are authorized to be offered for sale through the solicitation
for sealed bids.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise
the Notice of Sale and -to insert the appropriate time and date for
public opening of the sealed bids received.
SECTION 3: Bid award or awards shall be subject to review
and approval of the City Council.

NOTICE OF SALE OF�' $ 0-
SURPLUS WEAPONS (SHOTGUNS)
The City of Tamarac, Florida, wishes to offer for sale surplus
shotguns. Due to the type of weapons offered, this sale is open
only to gun dealers presenting with their offer a copy of their
credentials, and law enforcement officers submitting proper identifica-
tion of their status with their offer.
The items listed below are offered for sale on an "as is basis"
and the City of Tamarac makes no guarantee or warranty, expressed or
implied, as to the operational or physical condition of the items.

8. Stevens - DBL - 18" Barrel - 12 Ga. Shotgun
The items may be inspected from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday
through Friday, at the Tamarac Police Department, 5811 N.W. 88th
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida. If further information is required,
contact Lt. James M. Stuurmans, 722-5900, Ext. 75.
Bid forms are available from the office of the City Clerk,
5811 N.W. 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 13,
1981, and will be publicly opened at that time in City Hall.
Acceptance of any offer is subject to the approval of the
Tamarac City Council with the City reserving the right to reject any
or all offer(s). The City of Tamarac reserves the right to sell
these weapons on an individual, split order or lump sum basis or such
combination as shall best serve the interest of the City.
Award(s) will be made to the highest qualified bidder(s).
