CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-81-3
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR
SLUDGE REMOVAL FROM CLEANING PLANTS #1 & 4-BID #80-35
WHEREAS, The City Council authorized the Administration
to go to bid at its meeting on December 10, 1980, and,
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News a newspaper of general circulation in Broward County on
December 23 and December 30, 1980, and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on January 8, 1981, and
WHEREAS, Frenz Enterprises, Inc., is the lowest fully
responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION I: That the bid of Frenz Enterprises, Inc.,
in the amount of $10,638.88 maximum for Cleaning Plant #4, and-
$5,900.00 maximum for Cleaning Plant #1, is hereby approved.

A DESCRIPTION OF 7NE NORK IS AS POLIAIIS:
The bidder, in his proposal, shall provide the
description for the removal and disposal of the
sludge and thickened sludge, sand, and grit from
Cleaning Plants No. 4 Include in the proposal
unit prices for labor and equipment necessary
for the pumping, cleaning, hauling, and disposal
of the sludge.
$10,638.88
This price.is for Plant #4 and includes
the pumping and hauling of all sludge to your
sod farm and the hauling off of all grit to a
separate landfill: This price is also based on
pumping all clear supernate from Plant #4 back
through your treatment systems and the only
hauling of sludges and grit away from the
facility. Our price is based on having to haul
510,000 gallons of sludge from the plant at
$8.50/1,000 to your sod farm but is open to
adjustment credits if.the volume is less than
510,000 gallons at $8.50/1,000 when the actual
volume is determined. However, this price is
firm for anything over the 510,000 as long as we
are allowed to supernate all clear liquor back
into aOjoining treatment facilities.
This price includes the hauling off of
approximately 100 yards of sand and grit at
$30/yard but is ,..iso adjustable downward only if
the volume is found to be less.
We will supply -all pumping equipment, hoses
and labor to perform this work and insurance
certificates and a performance bond if we are
issued the contract.
