A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED IVAIV OF PARKING
4 FOR WOODtU\TT PLAZA, PROPOSED TO BE LOCATED AT THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF tN] 80 AVENUE AND MCNAB ROAD,
5 TAMARAC, PETITION #21-Z-81.
WHEREAS, Chapter 18 of the Tamarac City Code provides that Council may
grant a limited waiver of the off-street parking and loading requirements whenever
8 a hardship would exist by adhering to strict application thereof, and further
9 provides that the waiver would not be detrimental to public safety, health and
10 welfare of the citizens of the City; and
11 WHMREAS, a hardship exists at woodmont Plaza, to be located at the northea
12 corner of NW 80 Avenue and McNab Road, Tamarac; and
13 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon and has
14 made a recommendation; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the limited waiver
16 requested in the application of Woodmont Plaza, to be located at the northeast
17 corner of NW 80 Avenue and McNab Road, Tamarac, Petition #21-Z-81.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application for Woodmont Plaza, to be located at the
40 northeast corner of NW 80 Avenue and MdNab Road, Tamarac, Petition #21-Z-81,
21 is HEREBY APPROVED, and such limited waiver would not be detrimental to the public
22 safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City.
23 SECTION 2 : CONDITIONS
24 (1) The waiver granted would allow the mezzanine area of the bay leased to
25 Commonwealth Savings and Loan, 1,550 square feet, to be used for back office space
26 and is not to be open to the public without the requirement of adding to the 103
27 parking spaces.
28 (2) The owner of the shopping center agrees that there will be no further
29 applications for parking waivers in the shopping center.
30 SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
