A RESOLUTION RE -ADOPTING THE CITY OF TAMARAC'S FINAL
BUDGET AS AMENDED FOR FISCAL YEAR 1980/81 TO BE APPLIED
DURING FISCAL YEAR 1981/82 UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE TENTATIVE
BUDGET HAS BEEN ADOPTED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, circumstances entirely out of the control of the City of
Tamarac have prevented the enactment of a tentative or final budget for Fiscal
Year 1981/82; and
WHEREAS, Section 200.065(g)2, F.S., provides that "Notwithstanding
other provisions of law to the contrary, a taxing authority may: . . .
2. Readopt its prior year's adopted final budget, as amended, and
expend moneys based on that budget until such time as its tentative budget is
adopted pursuant to paragraph (2)(c), only if the fiscal year of the taxing
authority begins prior to adoption of the tentative budget. The readopted
budget shall be adopted by resolution without notice pursuant to this section
at a duly constituted meeting of the governing body."; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac wishes to comply with the provisions of
the above quoted statute.
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The adopted final budget, as amended by the City of
Tamarac for Fiscal Year 1980/81 in the amount of $7,503,443.00 for
expenditures and $7,503.443.00 for revenues, is hereby readopted for Fiscal
Year 1981/82. This readopted budget shall continue in effect until such time

as the tentative budget for the City has been adopted.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
