Z— f/- A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #81-147 WHICH ADOPTED THE PERSONNEL MANUAL FOR CITY EMPLOYEES BY AMENDING SECTION 38 PERTAINING TO CONTINUING EDUCATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: Section 38 of the Personnel Manual, as adopted by Resolution #81-147, is hereby amended and shall read as set forth on the attached page. SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this�day of 1981. An eligible training or ducational program is one that, in the judgment of the City Manager and department head is irectly related to an employee's current position or to a related higher position, and ich shall improve performance in a current position which constitutes preparation for omotion to a related higher level position and responsibility. he City shall pay for the total cost of courses, including registration fee, charge for emester hours, and textbooks. The City shall not pay for late registration charges, iiscellaneous supplies, travel expenses, or cost of transcripts. If the City pays for a .extbook, it shall be turned in to the City upon completion of the course. An employee light choose to buy his (her) own textbook so that he (she) might have it for future eference . f an employee does not pass a course, withdraws from a course or does not receive state ertification of any course requiring state testing, he (she) must promptly reimburse the ity for all expenses related to that course. If the school refunds part of a charge at he time of withdrawal, the employee must make up the difference. f an employee terminates prior to six (6) months after completion of a course(s), the City hall be reimbursed for all expenses. e employee must sign rth. an affidavit stating that he (she) agrees to all the terms set
