A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS VEHICLES WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has notified the City Council that six vehicles, inventoried to the Public Works Depart- ment no longer meet the criteria.for use by the City, and it is recommended these vehicles be declared surplus and offered for sale through a competitive bid process; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept this recommenda- tion and proceed to dispose of these vehicles in accordance with the provisions of the City Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA. SECTION 1: That the six vehicles described in the Notice of Sale, attached hereto, are declared to be surplus City property and are authorized to be offered for sale through the solicitation for sealed bids. SECTION 2: Bid award or awards shall be subject to review and approval of the City Council. DISTRICT DISTRICT OAAAA� DISTRICT Arthur .Birken, City Att'y DISTRICT RECORD Of COUNCIL VOTE mi NOTICE OF SALE OF SURPLUS VEHICLES (AS IS CONDITION) CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THE CITY OF TAMARAC, BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA wishes to offer for sale: SURPLUS VEHICLES A list of these vehicles is available at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 5811 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33321. Offers can be tendered on an item -by -item or lump sum basis. Acceptance of any offer is subject to approval by the City, with the City assuming the right to reject any offer. The items offered for sale are on an "as is basis" and the City of Tamarac makes no guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, as to the operational or physical condition of the items. The cost of removal of the vehicles from the City premises is to be borne by the successful bidder(s). The items may be inspected from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, at Tamarac Utilities West, 7801 NW 61 Street, Tamarac, Florida. If further information is required, contact Mr. Ralph Thissen, 722-4210. Sealed bids must be submitted on or before 2:15 P.M. on Monday, July 13, 1981, to the office of the City Clerk, and will be opened publicly at that time in City Hall. Acceptance of any offer is subject to the approval of the Tamarac City Council with the City reserving the right to reject any or all offer(s). The City of Tamarac reserves the right to sell these vehicles on an individual, split order or lump sum basis or such combination as shall best serve the interests of the City. Awards) will be made to the highest qualified bidder(s). All items sold are to be removed within 10 days after award is made. Removal shall take place during normal working hours.
