CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. "&/-10,5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC EXPRESSING THE
CITY'S INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN A PROGRAM REGARDING THE
PLAN OF SOLID WASTE/RESOURCE RECOVERY WITH BROWARD
COUNTY
WHEREAS, Broward County has requested that each municipality in
Broward County sign an agreement regarding solid waste disposal and
resource recovery program with Broward County; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement is vague and indefinite as to its terms and
specifically its charges to the City of Tamarac and the method of
technology to be used to dispose of the solid waste generated; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, at all times, wishes to cooperate with
Broward County in this and all critical matters involving quality of life
in Broward County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac expresses its
intent to participate in a program with Broward County regarding the
planning of the future disposition of solid waste, and to enter into an
agreement with Broward County regarding solid waste disposal if a mutually
acceptable Agreement can be negotiated.
SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this O' day of 1981.
