CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2020 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF 8
DESKTOP COMPUTERS AND PERIPHERAL
EQUIPMENT FROM BROWARD COLLEGE WITH
AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF $3,600 TO PROVIDE
ON-SITE COURSE WORK AT THE TAMARAC
RECREATION CENTER; AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE
ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO
CARRY OUT THE INTENT OF THE RESOLUTION;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has entered into a Memorandum of
Understanding to provide on-site workshops, courses and training programs for
the City of Tamarac residents at the Tamarac Recreation Center ; and
WHEREAS, the course work being offered by Broward College will require
the use of computer equipment ; and
WHEREAS, Broward College as offered to donate 8 desktop computers and
peripheral equipment with an estimated value of $3,600, as outlined in Exhibit A,
for use at the Tamarac Recreation Center for course work ; and
WHEREAS, Tamarac City Code Section 6. 156-3 Acceptance of donations,
requires Commission approval for donations exceeding a value of$1000 ; and

WHEREAS, the Economic Development Manager and Assistant City
Manager recommend that the City of Tamarac accept the donation of 8 desktop
computers and peripheral equipment from Broward College with an estimated
value of $3,600; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept the
donation from Broward College for 8 desktop computers and peripheral equipment
with an estimated value of $3,600 to provide on-site course work at Tamarac
Recreation Center for the benefit of our residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution. All exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a
specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City of Tamarac hereby accepts the donation from
Broward College of 8 desktop computers and peripheral equipment, as outlined in
Exhibit A, with an estimated value of $3,600 to provide on-site course work at
Tamarac Recreation Center.
SECTION 3: The appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to
execute any and all necessary documents to carry out the intent of the resolution.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
