CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2020- 0 /6'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RATIFYING PURCHASES FROM
AUDIO VISUAL INNOVATIONS, INC. FOR AUDIO VISUAL
SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$76,912.12 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, funds were appropriated in the Adopted Fiscal Year 2020 Budget for
the planned Audio-Visual System improvements at the Emergency Operations Center
and the Commission Chambers; and
WHEREAS, the planned improvements are required to ensure proper operation of
the City's Emergency Operations Center and the Commission Chambers; and
WHEREAS, Audio Visual Innovations Inc, is a highly reputable and reliable vendor
that previously delivered several successful projects to the City; and
WHEREAS, the aggregate annual expenditure thus far for Audio-Visual System
improvements during FY2020 is $76,912.14; and
WHEREAS, the City anticipates that the cost of Audio-Visual System
improvements for FY2020 will not exceed $76,912.14; and

WHEREAS, City Commission approval is required for expenditures in excess of
the State of Florida threshold for Category Three as defined in the F.S. §287.017(3),
currently set at $65,000 per City of Tamarac Code §6-145; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Information Technology and the Purchasing/Contracts
Manager have determined that it is in the City's best interest to approve expenditures to
Audio Visual Innovations, Inc. for the Audio-Visual System improvements in the
Emergency Operations Center and the Commission Chambers in the amount of
$76,912.14 for FY2020; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve
expenditures to Audio Visual Innovations, Inc. for the Audio-Visual System improvements
in the Emergency Operations Center and the Commission Chambers in the amount of
$76,912.14 for FY2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1 : The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution
upon adoption hereof. All exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a
specific part hereof.

SECTION 2: The City Commission ratifies the expenditures to Audio Visual
Innovations, Inc. for the Audio-Visual System improvements in the Emergency Operations
Center and the Commission Chambers in the amount of$76,912.14 for FY2020.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
