CALL TO ORDER r
Mayor Gomez called the Tuesday, June 14, 2020, Virtual City Special Commission meeting to
order at 2 p.m. '} 'S
ROLL CALL J
Mayor Gomez, Vice Mayor Bolton, Commissioner Gelin, and Commissioner Placko were
present. Commissioner Fishman was absent.
Also present were City Manager Michael Cernech, Assistant City Attorney Quentin Morgan, and
City Clerk Jennifer Johnson.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Commissioner Gelin led the Pledge of Allegiance.
1. PROCEDURES FOR VIRTUAL MEETINGS
Assistant City Attorney Morgan reviewed the procedures previously adopted for all commission
meetings conducted using communications media technology ("CMT"), and in accordance with
Governor DeSantis' Executive Orders 20-51, 20-52, 20-69, 20-112 and 20-150.
2. PROCEDURES FOR CLOSED SESSION
Assistant City Attorney Morgan reviewed the procedures for a closed-door session to discuss
labor relations as prescribed in Section 446.05(1) of the Florida Statutes.
2a. Labor Relations
Mayor Gomez closed the public meeting at 2:05 p.m. and reopened the meeting at
2:24 p.m.
3. OTHER
None.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Vice Mayor Bolton motioned to adjourn, and Commissioner Placko seconded. Mayor Gomez
adjourned the meeting at 2:24 p.m.
