CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2020-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING CUES, INC., AS A
SOLE SOURCE PROVIDER FOR UPGRADES TO THE
WASTEWATER VIDEO VAN CAMERA SYSTEM;
AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES FOR SAID PURPOSE
FROM CUES, INC., FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$74,656.00; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City operates and maintains approximately 148 miles of sanitary
• sewer mains and assists with inspection of the City's Stormwater System; and
WHEREAS, the current video system was manufactured and installed by CUES,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the compatibility of technical specifications and compatibility of the
waste water video system is necessary due to the specialized equipment only available
through CUES, Inc., a Sole Source Direct Provider for all CUES CCTV equipment,
services, and parts, a copy of the Sole Source Statement is hereto attached as "Exhibit
1"; and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommend purchasing upgraded CCTV Video equipment,
including installation, from CUES, Inc. at a cost not exceed $74,656.00, a copy of the
• proposal is hereto attached as "Exhibit 2"; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Services, Interim Financial Services Director,
and the Purchasing & Contracts Manager have recognized CUES, Inc., as a sole source
distributor of CUES CCTV Equipment, based on the fact that no other manufacturer will
be able to meet the compatibility requirements of the City as provided under City Code 6-
148 (b); and
WHEREAS, available funds exist in the within the Utilities Operating Fund for said
purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Services and the Purchasing & Contracts Manager
recommend the designation of CUES, Inc., as a sole distributor, and recommend approval
of the expenditure of funds to purchase video van upgrades from CUES, Inc., in an
amount not to exceed $74.656.00; and •
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to designate CUES,
Inc., as a sole source regional distributor of CUES CCTV Equipment, and to authorize an
expenditure for said purpose from CUES, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $74,656.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1 : The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution
upon adoption hereof. All Exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a
specific part of this Resolution. •

SECTION 2: CUES, Inc., is designated as the sole source distributor for
CUES CCTV Equipment, and the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to
purchase upgraded video van equipment from CUES, Inc., in an amount not to exceed
$74,656.00 per the equipment quote, attached hereto as "Exhibit 2".
SECTION 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution. •

entire state of Florida.
Furthermore,we are the sole CCTV equipment manufacturer located physically in the state of Florida. While other
manufacturer's may claim to be within the state,they do so through 3rd party dealerships and manufacturer's
representatives and are not themselves located in Florida to service and support your account. Other vendors
may claim to able to work on CUES equipment but CUES, Inc. itself is the only authorized provider of sales, service,
and support for CUES equipment. Any use of a vendor outside of CUES, Inc. that modifies,services, or provides
technical parts may risk voiding any applicable CUES, Inc.warranty.
• If you already own CUES equipment,we are the sole provider that is directly compatible with all your existing
equipment. CUES in the only manufacturer to offer a 100%full circle compatibility where all existing mainline
cameras and transporters are 100%compatible with any new/future CUES, Inc. equipment purchase.This full
circle compatibility allows older equipment to work on newer TV systems and newer equipment to operate on
some older systems.
We are the sole manufacturer and supplier of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products/parts for all
CUES, Inc. Systems and Product Line. No other vendor or manufacturer offers CUES, Inc. Equipment or Authorized
Service in the entire state of Florida.

Our current product offerings for Cameras,Transporters, Footage Systems, and GraniteNet Software are
100% compatible with existing CUES TV equipment.

Purchase Terms & Conditions
Delivery:4—8 Weeks After Receipt of Order. Delivery is an ESTIMATE ONLY based on the current production
schedule as of the date of quotation and is subject to change. For accurate delivery, please contact your CUES
Regional Sales Manager at the time of order.
Payment: NET 30 Terms for active, established CUES customers with an approved account application on file with
CUES, Inc. Accounting. For all new non-municipal customers or if your account has been inactive for more than 12
months, full payment is due prior to delivery with a minimum deposit of 25% due to at time of order.
Taxes & Pricing: Unless otherwise noted, pricing above does not include any applicable sales tax. The final invoice
will reflect all taxes unless there is a tax-exempt certificate on file with CUES, Inc. Accounting.
